Lauren Daly, Director
Lauren joined us in 2013 having qualified as a solicitor in July 2012. She completed her two year legal traineeship in Glasgow and Edinburgh with Maclay Murray and Spens LLP. She is from Kirkcaldy, attended Kirkcaldy West Primary and Balwearie High School and obtained her Law Degree and Diploma in legal practice both at Dundee University.
Lauren has an interest in commercial property and has acted for both landlord and tenant during all stages of commercial leases. She has also been involved in the sale and purchase of commercial property. Lauren also deals on a daily basis with residential conveyancing.
Lauren is married to Scott, who works in Software Development. They have three children, two boys and a girl.
Fiona Ford, Director
Fiona originally comes from Lanarkshire and graduated from Aberdeen University in 1981. She obtained her post graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Dundee University in 1982 and has spent the years since then in practice as a solicitor both in private practice and local government where she gained a wealth of experience in conveyancing and estate agency and in dealing with commercial and domestic property as well as private client work involving wills, executries, separations and divorce.
Fiona's other interests includes a study of Naturopathic Medicine (Nutritional Therapy) and Massage, caring for her family, cooking, reading and walking her 2 dogs.
Nigel Ford, Consultant
Born in Kirkcaldy, Nigel graduated from Aberdeen University in 1981 and then completed a Post Graduate Legal Practice Diploma there before commencing full legal practice in 19832. His Traineeship was with the former firm of Clark Oliver (now Thorntons) in Angus. Nigel has worked for many years in private practice and gained experience at assistant and partner level in both court and non court related matters with other firms.
He is now a highly experienced legal practioner with a particularly vast experience in property law and conveyancing. He also has many years of experience in dealing with matters relating to wills, executries and family law and provides clients with sympathetic and professional advice in all of these areas.
When he does have spare time Nigel's interests include both watching and playing football, rugby (only watching nowadays) and many other sports as well as walking his two dogs. He is a lifelong follower and supporter of Raith Rovers and former Director of the Club.
Scott Ford, Senior Solicitor
Scott joined us straight from univerisity and undertook his traineeship with us eventually being admitted as a solicitor, after a short break, in May 2013. Scott is from Kirkcaldy and attended Kirkcaldy West Primary and Balwearie High School before obtaining his Scots Law Degree and Diploma in Legal Practice at Dundee University in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
Scott has experience in dealing with a variety of transactions and mainly specialises in dealing with private client matters including wills, powers of attorney and executries, as well as also regularly dealing with residential conveyancing.
Scott is an avid sports fan and is a lifelong supporter of Raith Rovers, regularly attending matches both home and away.
Lynne Mackie, Accedited Paralegal
Lynne comes from Levenmouth and has worked in legal practice since 1993 joining Fords Solicitors in 1997.
Lynne is a loyal and dedicated member of staff and has gained a vast amount of experience over the years in dealing with clients directly in relation to the many and varied legal issues on which the firm is consulted.
Lynne is an Accredited Conveyancing Paralegal with the Law Society of Scotland and is therefore highly experienced in residential conveyancing. Lynne also deals with many of the day to day enquiries which clients of the firm have.
Lynne enjoys cycling, walking and gardening.
Amie Ross, Accredited Paralegal
Amie is a former pupil of Kirkcaldy High School and left there in 1999 to work as an office junior with another local firm of solicitors. Thereafter, she gained a huge practical experience as a legal receptionist / property assistant before joining us in 2001.
Amie is a loyal and dedicated member of staff and works primarily in a secretarial capacity. She is also an Accredited Conveyancing Paralegal with the Law Society of Scotland and is therefore highly experienced in residential conveyancing.
Amie likes socialising with her friends and has recently discovered the "joy" of watching Raith Rovers! Amie is also an animal lover and is currently learning to drive.
Emily Young, Legal Secretary
Emily joined Fords Daly Legal in July 2014. She is from Glenrothes and studied at St. Andrews High School in Kirkcaldy.
Emily is responsible for our main telephone switchboard and will be the friendly voice you hear when calling our office. She is also responsible for admin within the office and assists Fiona Ford with our Estate Agency matters. Emily is able to assist you you with your property enquiries and is also responsible for liasing with clients to arrange viewings and follow up on prospective buyers' enquiries.
Emily has two dogs, Max and Ella and enjoys socialising with her friends in her spare time.
